It's wonderful to know that the art of clock making and repairing is still very much alive in the UK. Had a problem bracket clock which could never be relied on. Sent the clock to Neil, received a detailed report and a very reasonable estimate to which I agreed. The clock is now back with me keeping perfect time and running the full length of the fusee. Neil, you're a star. Thank you so much.

I have had a terrible experience with William Haycock and it has taken some years to be able to come to terms with the damage that you did to my Vienna triple weight. I bought it in to you in a working state and you gave it back to me after quite a long time not working. I had to take it to another clock maker who explained that the movement had been assembled incorrectly. I had to pay £700 to bring the clock back to life due to your neglect. You really should have been ashamed but you showed absolutely no concern. I am amazed thet you are trading.

I inherited the family grandfather clock after we lost mum in 2019 the clock has been in the family for several generations and you could tell! It was battered after many, many years of being made to fit in different houses and wasn't working. I was recommended Neil by a friend who knew of him through someone else. Neil has made an amazing job we never even dreamed it could look like it does now. It is like a piece home coming home, I can not thank him enough such knowledge and expertise are hard to find nowadays and his passion is enviable. Thank you xx

Only needed a few rods of easy cut silver steel, but Neil was really helpful. I will definitely use them again

Neil Haycock did a very sympathetic restoration and repair on a grandfather clock that I bought. I loved the clock, but it was prone to stop and chimed when it felt like it. He explained everything to me, showed me what was wrong and why it wasn't working and what would be done to repair it. He was happy to go the extra mile to repair original parts which would have been easier to replace. My clock now looks more original as it has matching period hands, works l beautifully and chimes reliably. Neil is a real craftsman, the latest generation of clockmakers from a family of skilled clockmakers. The workshop is as it would have been 100 years ago and it is a fascinating insight into a disappearing craft. If you have a proper clock which needs to be looked at by someone skilled and who won't just oil it with push-bike oil, whether it's an grandfather clock or a church clock, Neil Haycock is your man.

My clock has been serviced and repaired at William Haycocks since my Grandads time. The tradition continues today. Neil's talent as a clock maker and precision engineer is highly rated . I need to be able to trust the person who would work on my clock so it is the only place for me.

First class service, it is nice to meet someone who is obviously passionate about his profession and extremely knowledgable about turret clocks. Very approachable and ready to accommodate the customer. If you need a repair on any Church clock , these are the people to go to.
