Compton House & Jayne & husband have welcomed me into their home on many occasions this year, it's been a warm homely & comfortable place for me to stay while in Ashbourne looking after my poorly mum. It's a delightful, homely, very comfortable beds, always ginger biscuits & a chocolate & different drinks to choose from on a little tray in the room, a delightful big bath to soak away your troubles!!...such lovely owners & the breakfast are delicious. Great for walkers/cyclists/workmen I guess, but for us it was like staying with your grandparents.. but they didn't really want you there! (and we're old!!)|Small room, which was tired, dated & dusty around the edges. Garden was overgrown & tight area for parking. Had an atmosphere! Thought it was overpriced. Happy to leave!
