Won't let you exchange tickets, we can't go now due to weather and they were not understanding or flexible (even though the film is not sold out). Won't bother again, other local independents much better.

Great cinema we visited on holiday. Staff really friendly and great range of popcorn and snacks to have while watching a film. Super comfy seating too, enjoyed and would visit again.

This small-town, one-screen cinema does everything right. Friendly staff, comfortable seats, a cosy bar, decent toilets... Fantastic sound as well – really loud and clear. I'd choose the Elite over a multiplex any day.

I love this cinema! The staff are fantastic, the seats are super comfortable, the snacks are great—especially the chocolate popcorn—and they always show excellent films.

I took all five of my nieces to see Lilo & Stitch yesterday. It was absolutely perfect! The staff was great, the place was very clean, and there was plenty of room. Why go to Derby when we have wonderful options right on our doorstep? We are very lucky here in Ashbourne. I say, let's support our local venues or risk losing them!

We love the Elite, great selection of films nice and comfortable seating ... from budget and slightly cheaper seats .. thru to superior towards the back ... and twin seats and sofas. Plenty of snack selections at reasonable prices, coffee and a licensed bar. All the staff are great and make you feel most welcome... keep it up Oh ... take out a membership ... get discounts and freebies ...

Lovely to have a cinema in Ashbourne and is lovely inside. Shame about cafe , it's not the best like other small independent cinemas , long queues and machine drinks . There is a bar somewhere near screen but all a bit disjointed I think. They need a rethink on cafe and maybe use the bar area and do proper drinks . All a bit sterile, lacking atmosphere. Cinema/ screen and seating is super though and clean loos .

Situated in Ashbourne town centre, the Elite Cinema and Theatre shows a great selection of the latest films, ranging from blockbuster titles to lesser known but equally as worthy fare. Screenings of theatre productions and opera and ballet make this a venue to cater for all interests. The seats are very comfortable and sofas are also available. The screen is impressively large and the sound is a top drawer system. Coffee and alcohol, together with snacks are available and I highly recommend taking out a membership which quickly pays for itself, offering discounts on every admission and points for every ticket and refreshment you purchase. The points soon mount up to give free admission to a film and then you can start afresh to gain another free screening. The staff are so friendly and obliging, too. 5 star experience!

Great asset for Ashbourne which didn't disappoint on first visit. Entrance at street level. Ticket office on first floor where coffee and snacks can be purchased. Then up again and you enter the screen from the back. At front/left of screen is a bar and seating area. Comfortable seats with premium seating available and sofas for two at the back. Membership on offer which includes tickets and discounts. You can park in the Market Place for £1 in the evening.
